Health problems related to the geek lifestyle

I find articles like this interesting because of the lack of problems that I have. I have wrist problems, but they are due to a birth defect, not carpal tunnel. I have good sleep hygiene, I don't have headaches, etc. But I do recognize these symptoms in others.

I like the quote that the bed should be used for two things: sex and sleep. If you're awake more than 10-15 minutes, you should get up and do something relaxing, and you should NEVER use your laptop in bed!

(now if only I could convince my wife of that) :-)

I just found out that my aunt in Las Cruces had a heart attack

We spent the night in 'Cruces last Thursday and left Friday around 9am or so. She had it later that day. Apparently it wasn't a massive one, she was able to call 911. She spent a couple of days in the hospital and is now home. They've discovered a blockage which they will probably stent, so hopefully that will take care of that. It's my dad's sister, so he might fly into El Paso next Tuesday, then I'd pick him up and drive him to 'Cruces.

I'll be calling her this afternoon, hopefully nothing of further significance to report.

The Gospel of Judas

A document discovered in the deserts of Egypt in 1970 might be a lost conversation between Judas Iscariot and Jesus. It apparently dates back to at least 300 AD and is supposedly a copy of an older Greek document.

I've never liked the fact that we were limited to four gospels. There were a dozen apostles, theoretically all of them wrote. But someone, somewhere down the line, decided that if it wasn't one of the Big Four, it was heresy.
