YAWC: Freakangels, by WARREN ELLIS

Warren Ellis is doing a free, weekly web comic! It's a post-apocalyptic human interest story with the following blurb: 23 years ago, twelve children strange children were born in England at the exact same time. 5 years ago, the world ended. This is the story of what happens next."

Warren's done some very cool work over the years, including Transmetropolitan, The Authority, and Planetary.

Remember the Russian music site, AllofMP3?

The MPAA sued them out of existence, or at least that's what they claim. Every time they sued them in Russia, MPAA lost: AllofMP3 was legal under Russian law. They apparently even tried to pay the MPAA royalties, and the MPAA didn't accept them. Well, AllofMP3 is no more: it shut down, and re-opened as MP3Sparks. Conveniently, if you had an account on AllofMP3, it worked on MP3Sparks. I'm sure that was just a coincidence.

A browser-based game helps you learn Mandarin Chinese

Michigan State made it in conjunction with a Chinese language group. Sounds pretty cool, I intend to check it out.
