Google scanning the British Library

This is an awesome project, and it would be nice to see it expanded. Sadly, the scanned archive will end at 1870 due to European copyright law, which apparently is a little more restrictive than US copyright law, if such a thing is possible.

I'm looking forward to cruising this material.

RIP: LulzSec?!

The hacker collective LulzSec announced that it has disbanded as, from the beginning, they (whoever "they" were) had decided that they would only exist for 50 days.

Most recently LulzSec took down the NATO ebook store and the Arizona Department of Public Safety (Highway Patrol). The latter had some interesting content, including telling officers how to look at a smart phone to see if it's secretly recording, and to put smart phones into Faraday bags when seizing them as evidence.

Recently UK police raided a hacker and seized his equipment, allegedly he was the head of LulzSec, something that I doubt. I haven't heard anything more on what they've found on his equipment, but it can take a long time to analyze equipment.
