Best Buy customer gets box of bathroom tiles instead of the hard drive that he purchased

They won't refund his money and they won't give him a new hard drive: he's being told "take it up with the manufacturer". You know, the more that I hear about Best Buy's shenanigans, the less I like the company. But they are the only game in town for me. Maybe I'll look at Circuit City more closely when it comes time for us to buy a TV, not that Circuit City is any less subject to random bouts of asshattery.

Well, I'm not sure if you remember all the crap I went through with Best Buy over my damaged computer or not, but it took me looking up the CORPORATE (non 800) number online and getting connected to people *there* before I was able to get Best Buy to replace my laptop they broke. It's a horrible company!

Best Buy does continue to look like other retailers with its disregard for actually wanting its customers to return and be satisfied with things.

If it had been local, I would have thought it was my high school-era ex who would return an item he'd just bought with something he'd had for a while. (Such an asshole. No surprise he worked at places like that.)
