White Sands is good to shoot any time, because it's different even day to day because the wind reshapes it during the night.  But it changes so dramatically during storms!  And gulls are interesting to follow closely, you never know what you'll get!  They're definitely made of attitude - the San Diego photo?  We went out on a whale watching cruise and the guy was feeding hot dog buns to gulls that knew to follow the boats, I got some pretty good close-ups of that.
