Apple users: time for an OS update!

Apple has pushed a security update for all devices - Macs, iPhones, iPads - to fight Pegasus spyware. A flaw in said spyware, by Israeli NSO Group, led to its detection by a security research group who tipped Apple who fixed the flaw in their software.

So get updating!

Good that they're pushing updates and making things more secure. With the way that Apple is such a monolith of environment, they have to be extra vigilant against any exploits, because they're likely to be this kind of exploit that can affect everything and well.

It's not just that they're a monolith, they're also integrating aspects of their OS across their platform: you can now run iPhone/iPad apps, to a degree, on your laptop.  So a vulnerability in one OS can theoretically be exploited across multiple types of devices.  They have to be extra vigilant and proactive in fixing problems and pushing patches.
