My wife has a thing about trading in cars every ten years.  Mine will be nine in October.  I plan on keeping it until I start getting serious repair bills, especially since we foresee one or two moves in our near-term future which could seriously affect our driving needs.  Currently, EVs don't meet my needs.  Hybrids do, but I'm not sure their price points align.  We'll see what the used market looks like.  Of course, one accident totaling the car changes the equation entirely.
