Tom Lehrer quit writing his comedy songs when Henry Kissinger got the Nobel Peace Prize while bombing Cambodia. I'm reading those Bloom County books, and Berke Breathed made a similar comment. Our news has become self-parodying.

There's a reason why I read 40+ web comics over breakfast every morning.
