Great interview with Ursula K. LeGuin

Thanks for posting this, Alex! I love her comments on Amazon, of course, she has an advantage with living in Portland of having direct access to Powells. Still, I haven't bought a book from Amazon since their various attempts at bullying began.

She has to be one of the few remaining second generation Grandmasters of Science Fiction.

Yet another Cory Doctorow interview

I do like Cory's writing, I especially like the fact that you can download his work off his web site for free under a Creative Commons license. He's talking about his latest Young Adult book, Pirate Cinema, and lots of other stuff.

It's a good read, albeit a bit lengthy, IMO.

Great interview with Mike Mignola, the creator of Hellboy

Lots of discussion regarding his long career in comics, as a writer, and in film. He worked on the Del Torro version of The Hobbit briefly, but apparently none of the Del Torro footage was used. I wonder if it'll make an appearance in the DVD bonus material.

A nice, long interview with Weird Al Yankovic

Haven't finished it yet, but I like what I've read thus far. A multi-platinum artist, he's been recording for 25 years and just had his first top 10 hit 2 years ago. And I think that's about how ling I've been listening to him, I saw him in concert, IIRC, for Like A Surgeon in the early/mid 80's.

An interview with an Executive VP of Nintendo

on stuff regarding the Wii and DS. There are some serious games coming for the Wii, apparently Call of Duty is forthcoming. Interestingly, DS sales in Japan are declining in Japan but still increasing in America. I know my wife and I use ours pretty much daily.

An interview with the founder of Bose

I've had three sets of speakers from them over the years: 301's, 201's, and a 150(?) center channel speaker. I returned the latter because I did not like the sound. I still have the 301's, they're right now in my living room, waiting for my DVD and LaserDisc player to be connected up so that they can once again have movies played through them!

I also highly recommend the noise-canceling headphones. Very nice on flights.
