A Toyota's a Toyota, after all. This is definitely one of my favorite Weird Al songs, and I think the video is fantastic.

Oh wow. I remember Al on Doctor Demento back in the '70s (yes, I am a fossil) and his early records. I saw Weird Al live once in Mesa in the '80s, can't remember what album was current at the time, not that it matters. But I will say this: I think this will be a wild ride! I may actually subscribe to Roku for a month to watch this when it comes out!

To quote Weird Al from the article:
“When my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork. I’m very happy to say we’re on schedule,” Yankovic added in a statement. “And I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film. I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”

This is a trailer embedded in the article. I have no idea whether to take it seriously.

Comedy Central, Saturday night.

My Tivo is set! I think I last saw him at the Arizona State Fair about a decade ago, he was doing two nights. Lots of fun! But damn, did I feel old in that crowd!

He is now a New York Times Best Selling Author, having published a children's book.

This is a two-page article on Wired, I'm linking directly to page 2, which is the interview. Page 1 is intro and a review of an interactive iPad game version of his book.

I think I must be getting old. I picked up his two most recent CDs last week and listened to his previous album, Straight Outta Lynwood, and I didn't recognize a single song from his polka medley. And I only recognized his Trapped in the Drive Thru because of the Southpark Scientology episode.

I expect similar results when I listen to Alapalooza.

He did a Lady Gaga spoof and apparently had some problems. Twitter saved the song!

I didn't know he had a new album on the way, apparently it released Tuesday.

The article includes two embedded videos.

Haven't finished it yet, but I like what I've read thus far. A multi-platinum artist, he's been recording for 25 years and just had his first top 10 hit 2 years ago. And I think that's about how ling I've been listening to him, I saw him in concert, IIRC, for Like A Surgeon in the early/mid 80's.
