Mail-order Chocolate....
I learned of these people from an old Alton Brown podcast, Olive & Sinclair. They're based in Nashville, TN, and offer tours if you're in or will be in the area. Two flavors caught my attention: sea salt and vinegar caramels and white chocolate made with buttermilk. I'm very intrigued by both.
I just ordered a collection of one of all of their chocolate bars for $60 (plus shipping), no idea if it'll get here before V-Day. Aside from the sea salt & vinegar caramel, they also do a duck fat caramel which sounds rather good. So depending on how these chocolates work out, I expect I may be ordering some caramels for our anniversary in June....

I most certainly shall! My wife is quite the addict and connoisseur. I'm a fan of good chocolate and have different tastes and favorites than her, but we have plenty of overlap. Our current addiction is the mini Dove bars, I'll be picking up a couple of bags in an hour or so - heading down the mountain for to hit the groceria....

Like you don't have marvelous chocolatiers all over Europe?! I just got shipping confirmation that it should arrive Wednesday! Quite looking forward to it and will post reviews. And hey -- if you ever make it over here, with some pre-planning you can arrange to have it shipped to where you'll be staying! I have a couple of Berlin chocolatiers (and another in Dresden) that I should post links for you. Unfortuntately the one that we stumbled upon our first day at Alexanderplatz, La Cure Gourmande, is permanently closed.

I think you and I are of a similar feather in this case. I buy it for my wife, she's the addict/gourmand. For me, my needs are much more basic and I can be satisfied with what's available at a decent grocer with occasional visits at a good chocolatier. Just don't offer me a Hershey's bar and believe that I'll consider that good chocolate. :-)
