Good Eats + America's Test Kitchen is what really got me into cooking. I already did some baking, and not to brag, but in a limited fashion I'm a really good cook. The limited fashion being I'm slow and not the type that can open a pantry and fridge and start pulling stuff out and make something amazing. But what I do cook is very good and consistent.
I figure that I've gotten the majority of cooking skill done if I can follow a recipe and understand the technique they are asking me to do. Improv isn't a strength yet, but I might be taking the free Milk Street course on that to see if I can up my game.

I've been wanting to check in to those online courses from Milk Street - I am a subscriber, print and digital - but haven't gotten around to it yet.
