In the form of TEN DOLLAR GIFTCARDS FROM UBER EATS! YAY!

WHICH UBER EATS CANCELLED, BECAUSE SO MANY WERE ISSUED! THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE FRAUDULENT! YAY!

Talk about laughably botching an apology! From the TechCrunch article: "On Tuesday, a source told TechCrunch that they received an email from CrowdStrike offering them the gift card because the company recognizes “the additional work that the July 19 incident has caused.”

“And for that, we send our heartfelt thanks and apologies for the inconvenience,” the email read, according to a screenshot shared by the source. The same email was also posted on X by someone else. “To express our gratitude, your next cup of coffee or late night snack is on us!”"

Cause insane amounts of extra work and no doubt paid and unpaid overtime, and give ONE person in the company a ten dollar gift card. Which then gets cancelled.

Mayo gave us thank you gifts for Covid time and a lot of people took the $500 VISA cards.
Only when they went to use them or take the money off them it was gone. :o :o :o
I took a gift instead. :)

That's very odd!  Sometimes Visa gift cards can be scammed, that might be what happened to them.  It would suck if Mayo didn't make good on them, though based on what you've said about them, I wouldn't be terribly surprised.  Speaking of Mayo, we'll be at the Phoenix site Tuesday: Russet's meeting a new oncologist.

I went through the list of gifts instead and choose a $1200 watch. LOL.........

That seems like the perfect encapsulation of the whole thing: "Sorry we broke your computers and caused you to lose a lot of business. Here's a pittance as a gesture at apology, but also because there are so many of you, it's going to cause even more computer issues for you."
