New toy on the way!
Yesterday I ordered a Canon 15-30 zoom for my new R6 Mark II, and I received the shipping confirmation today! Hopefully I'll be getting it the middle of next week. Should be fun.
My main lens is a 24-240 zoom, which is really nice, albeit a bit long physically. This 15-30 is somewhat smaller. And I do like wide angle, I find it useful for my style of shooting.
Should be fun!

Yep, as I understand it you can practically touch the front element of the lens!

Mine is always in auto mode, but I get good pictures, so I won't complain too much.

I remember cameras! When I was a resident, everyone got a 35mm SLR, with ring flash and macro lens for super-close-ups of lesions. I still have it somewhere, along with my typewriters. At some point, I paid an unemployed friend to digitalize all my 35 mm slides. Yes, I'm a Philastine.

I have two new(ish) 35mm film bodies that may last me the rest of my life. I have a third, but I don't know if it's operational as it hasn't been used in a decade and that series was prone to shutter bumper rot. I've never had a ring light but always wanted one, just never had a real use for one. And most of my slides are digitized, but not all.

I've been a photographer for over four decades, started with processing my own B&W film and prints. I have an iPhone 13 Mini, and I am amazed at how good of photos it takes in low light! Still, I want an SLR.

Unfortunately the software that I ran my web site off of crashed, and I haven't recreated it, or I'd point you to some of my stuff. Some day I'll get it back up.
