It goes into a bit of detail, but I think it should be understandable by most non-geeks with a good level of computer literacy.

This is not to say that the Mac OS is bullet-proof, just much more resistant to malware or getting pwnd.

I could repost that link to my journal. But that would invite my bf's father to go nuts. Showing it to people at work, though, might be worth it.

Uh huh. And? I know the risks and I can handle my own computing, thank you.
