Go, Germany! They decide the courts won't help their equiv of the RIAA prosecute P2P thefts!

They decide that the smalltime sharers are not causing significant monetary damage and that the RIAA-equiv cannot use the courts to force ISPs to reveal identifying information to them for persecutionprosecution.

Ah, refreshing to see that just about everywhere else in the world doesn't share our neuroses regarding peer-to-peer sharing. I wonder whether an independent auditor would find that the P2P in the U.S would constitute non-substantive damage relative to how much people actually buy stuff. Or buy stuff after having listened to it on P2P.
