Excellent. But we don't get any of that? What the hell? You would think that with the way things are right now, those who have those nice fuel-efficient cars would be trying very hard to get them to the market here.
I keep noticing that a recurring theme in these stories is that we can't have one in the states. I haven't read through all the stories, are they always the same reason? I keep hearing Safety laws mentioned when people have talked about the Ford Models (I'm not up on this, just sort of curious)
Usually it's emissions standards. Apparently the European standard is a bit looser than here. Traditionally, California has had the toughest standards in the country, so everyone either had to meet those standards or their cars couldn't be registered there. I have no idea if the Feds have adopted California's standards, I imagine they haven't.
