Funny thing. Her husband claimed to build it "with some buddies". It's worth half a million dollars, and she, as mayor, blocked the filing of the construction permits, so we don't know who his buddies were. There are other links between the construction of the sports complex, and also some links with indicted Senator Ted Stevens!

Yet another reason why just going with openness saves you headaches later, assuming that what you've done is on the up and up. Hiding just makes things look all taht much more suspicious, especially if she were giving contracts to her political supporters.
