Apparently a US Army unit has been actively deployed in the US "... to help with "civil unrest" and "crowd control" – matters traditionally handled by civilian authorities."

Not that anything important is happening in the US in the next two weeks.

As I recall, that brigade is there for more than just the next two weeks to help with such things, and will eventually become a permanent deployment, knocking out even the fig leaf that the military is not to be used as a police force of any sort inside the United States.
