Another report released in the loss of the Columbia space shuttle

Some of the crew survived the initial destruction of the shuttle, but only for about 40 seconds. They learned a number of problems: helmets were not designed to protect the head, causing lethal trauma; the inertial restraints didn't lock their torsos, only their lower extremities; none of them were properly sealed in their suites; etc. Probably nothing in the report will affect the few remaining launches of the shuttle, but I'm sure it will influence the design of future space craft.

And apparently there's video footage of those last moments ... ugh can you imagine? I hope it never ever gets leaked.

There are some things that should not be released to the general public, but I'm sure it can be found on Pirate Bay.

I was kind of hesitant to read the article, but it didn't go into any grisly detail. I imagine the full report might be a different matter.
