New polls show the Tea Party to be really taking a shellacking, the issue will be what the turn out will be next month and next November as mid-term and off-year elections are typically the lowest turnout and heavily in favor of Republicans. The Democrats need to do a Get Out The Vote as strong as last year if they want to have a decent chance to regain seats.

They will continue to think it good policy until they are completely abandoned and shunned by their colleagues, which won't happen while Obama is office, since they are the fringe that says what the respectable people are thinking.
