Pi Day Outcomes

I made a chocolate mousse pie Friday night which we sliced up and had some last night, coincidentally at 9:26pm after going to see the movie Chappie. Today I made an apple pie, except for a store-bought crust, came out quite good. I do want to try making my own crust, and I think I need to pump up the spice level a little.

Interestingly a slice of apple pie followed by a slice of the chocolate mousse pie works surprisingly well.

Wish I could reach through the screen and nab the chocolate mousse.

I screwed up the chocolate mousse slightly and forgot to add vanilla. Still, it shall not survive many more days....

I really like making the mousse because you can crank it out in less than a half hour, but it still need 2-3+ hours to set in the fridge.

Tonight I'm making whipped cream, I also bought a pint of Hagen-Das vanilla ice cream.
