The Muskbrat denies that he's giving The Convicted Felon $45 million a month
About a week ago, the Cheeto Benito announced that The Muskbrat was giving him $45,000,000 PER MONTH. Of course, it's a major election law violation to give that kind of money to a candidate, much less on a repeating basis, it has to go through a Pac or Superpac, and that's what was going on here.
And now The Muskbrat is walking back The Convicted Felon's claim. Apparently he gave $45mil to a superpac that focuses on get out the vote efforts supporting conservative causes, but will not be making that donation on a monthly basis.
Which is probably a good thing. Like our previous (and cannot be forgotten soon enough) president who demonstrated liquidity problems, it would be kinda embarrassing if he had to sell more Tesla stock to make recurring donations a reality.

Yeah. His original statement was he wasn't going to give much money to anybody. Oh, but giving money to a conservative-aligned superpac doesn't count!

Like a lot of rich people, he thinks money = smarts. Or, as the phrase goes, was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple.

I mean, the dude's family owns an OPAL MINE! They were described as there being nights that they couldn't close their safe because there was too much cash in it! OOOH, POOR BABIES!!!

Of course, the real trick is there's probably not an easy way of fact-checking whether or not he keeps to his promise, with the way that money in politics is deliberately set up to obscure who gives and what to at every stage of the way.

The Muskbrat was/is in a very tricky position. Dems/liberals were his best potential market for his cars, MAGAs his best potential market for Twitter. His car sales are definitely down, part of that is competition and market saturation. He's mad at California and more liberal states making him adhere to law, and he don't wanna! And he has said he thinks America is great, so the MAGA concept doesn't click with him. Of course what he is, is a rich opportunist, he'll go wherever the wind blows. Money is his motivator.
