NEW RIVERS OF LONDON BOOK!
Scalzi posted a photo of an ARC stack, and there it was - The Masquerades of Spring!
It released two days ago, and it's a novella, 167 pages, give or take. Available right now, $6 on the Apple book store, so ebooks released simultaneously.

I've had the release date marked on my calendar for ages, but it's a whopping 11 euros on Amazon Italia so far and that seems a bit steep for a novella in ebook, at least for me, so I haven't caved in and bought it yet. Don't know how long I'll be able to hold out, though. :D

Oooh! Yeah, that's a bit steep. When my wife and I were driving down for dinner, I told her 'Open my phone, then open the Book app' and I heard the sharp intake of breath when she found it.

The Rivers of London is quite good. It starts with Peter, a brand-new Public Constable with the Metropolitan Police. He's standing night watch at a murder, in the rain, when a guy calls over to him saying 'I seen who dunnit!' Turns out the guy is a ghost and Peter has a natural aptitude for magic. He's then seconded to the magic division, which consists of him, his Chief, and a maid who doesn't speak and whose mouth is filled with unusually sharp teeth. It's a very cool series.

It is a very fun series. Don't bother getting this latest book as they all build on each other and you need to read them in sequence.

Nice! I shall notify Falena that this is another possible source. In Italy, the ebook is 11 Euros!

It's in e-pub format, I used PayPal to purchase it, downloaded it to my desktop computer, and sideloaded it to my e-reader.
