Date: 2024-09-07 10:24 pm (UTC)I've had the release date marked on my calendar for ages, but it's a whopping 11 euros on Amazon Italia so far and that seems a bit steep for a novella in ebook, at least for me, so I haven't caved in and bought it yet. Don't know how long I'll be able to hold out, though. :D

Date: 2024-09-08 03:03 am (UTC)The Rivers of London is quite good. It starts with Peter, a brand-new Public Constable with the Metropolitan Police. He's standing night watch at a murder, in the rain, when a guy calls over to him saying 'I seen who dunnit!' Turns out the guy is a ghost and Peter has a natural aptitude for magic. He's then seconded to the magic division, which consists of him, his Chief, and a maid who doesn't speak and whose mouth is filled with unusually sharp teeth. It's a very cool series.

It's in e-pub format, I used PayPal to purchase it, downloaded it to my desktop computer, and sideloaded it to my e-reader.
