Marvel gets funding for ten more superhero movies

"Marvel said the 10 characters in the arrangement are Captain America, The Avengers, Nick Fury, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Cloak & Dagger, Dr. Strange, Hawkeye, Power Pack, and Shang-Chi. Each film is expected to have a budget of up to $165 million dollars and a rating no more restrictive than PG-13. Although the financing allows for the production of animated films, Marvel currently intends to use the funds to make only live-action films."
My only problem is that with the exception of X Men, it seems like every superhero film that I see has to re-tell the origin. That has to be in order to draw in a non-fan audience, but I'd rather see five good films and five good sequels.

Otherwise it will probably end up like (weeps silently for a moment) the imminent Ghost Rider movie. DAAAAMN YOU, NICHOLAS CAAAAGE!

I have come to hate origin stories lately. I would rather just see the heroes in their prime and get it over with. I'd even like to see them a little past their prime (Dark Knight Returns sort of thing) But I'm hating all the origin crap they've been doing lately.

The Avengers -- They'd have to settle on which heroes they want to use, but they're going to have to work very hard to make this work (which means that it will probably suck).
Nick Fury -- Great, just what we need, another wise-cracking super-spy. Hey, maybe they can cast Brad Pitt as Nick and Angelina Jolie as the Contessa so they won't have to worry about a sequel for Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Black Panther -- Hmm, emphasize the king of Wakanda bit and make it into one of those African tribal movies and it might work, but would it draw in a modern audience?
Ant-Man -- Honey, I shrunk the super-hero!
Cloak & Dagger -- I think this could be a really cool movie, but who but a comic uber-geek remembers them? (unless they've had some sort of renaissance in the few years since I stopped following comics)
Dr. Strange -- If they really do this one with the level of modern sfx, I'll have to get me some really good drugs.
Hawkeye -- Could be good.
Power Pack -- I guess this is because those talking baby movies of the last few years were fairly popular.
Shang-Chi -- Does Marvel still have the rights to Fu Manchu, or has it finally entered public domain? I'd prefer to see it as the latter part of the series, where Shang Chi was the reluctant participant in various spy games, but the origin leads right into the anti-Fu Manchu stuff.
Finally, you're forgetting something. Most sequels suck, even if the first movie rocked. The chance of five good movies and five good sequels is more of a pipe dream than ten good movies.
