The big problem with Passengers, and the reason I didn't go to see it, is the rape storyline. I heard about it early on and was like nopenopenope. The fact that something like this is still being presented as an unexceptionable, or even sweet, romance story is an illustration of how pervasive rape-culture tropes are in our popular entertainment. A lot of people agreed with me, too -- its Rotten Tomatoes rating is 31%, which is downright awful for a big-budget special-effects vehicle.
I still want to see Moana, but I'll probably wait for the DVD price to come down.
