I was thinking about shopping around for it while I was here in Phoenix, apparently Amazon finally got it back in stock. I had wanted to see the original again and then see the 2049 again, conveniently, there are still quality theaters here still showing it! So maybe I'll see 2049 again, then when I get home, I can see the original again.
The original used to be one of my favorite movies. The visuals and the score still just blow me away. But then Ridley released the Director's Cut, and a scene was added/restored that showed Deckard wasn't just skeevy with Rachel, he was pretty much flat-out a rapist. And that really turned me off on the movie. I'm not sure if that scene is in this release or not, I guess I'll find out next week.
