It's also been a weird winter down here.  Normally I get my snow tired mounted the week after Thanksgiving, but there was no indication of snow.  Last year I could have gone with my all-weathers all winter without a problem.  This year I didn't get it done, and our snow fall was pitiful - until Boxing Day.  Then all this happened.  Granted, there was no way to get out yesterday to get my tires put on: they closed the highway up the mountain!  Thursday we went to El Paso and saw Aquaman (and quite liked it), the heavy downfall didn't hit until after midnight.

Prior to this storm we'd get a couple of inches, then it'd warm up and/or rain and it would all go away.  Then it would snow again, rinse, repeat.  Nothing would persist.  Until now.  THIS will really help the aquifers and trees.  I'll get my tires put on next Wednesday or Thursday: if it'll dump like this once, good chance if it happening again. I'm going to post another pic of the satellite dish - it's amazing what it looks like this morning!

The amount of TV that we watch varies.  We watch a lot of movies, but it can go several days without the TV being turned on.  I tend to watch movies when my wife is working, which may or may not be scrounged up from various video on demand - I finally got to see Robot and Frank and really enjoyed it, but definite niche movie.
