Old Cameras, Old Film

This guy collects old cameras, and apparently frequently they contain old, exposed film. He then develops the film, and if the images are even semi-usable, posts them. Some interesting stuff. I wonder if he specifically seeks out cameras with film in them, or just buys a heck of a lot of used cameras.

It is. I immediately started wondering, aside from the obvious question of how many of these photographed are now dead, but how many were of relatives lost shortly after the taking of the photo and they realized the last photo they had of their family member or friend was lost.

I've developed an old film of mine and was really surprised to see pics of my dad who's since passed away. He looked a little strange tho - since the film (slide film) has changed color. I need to find that roll and have it scanned... and I have a camera with a half used roll of 126 film in it...

There's plenty of places that can scan that slide and do a good job of resetting the color to a more natural tone. And they can always take the easy way out and do B&W prints. :-)
