The CNN article on Trucks was an interesting expose on autocracies/dictatorships on this. Putin's been paying for bright/shiny because it's KUHL, and completely ignoring the fundamentals that underpin his army, and a 40 mile column of death and destruction stalls 20 miles from his enemy's capital and gets picked apart. Largely because of logistics. There was a recent quote in an article from, I believe, General Omar Bradley that said "Amateurs talk about tactics, processionals talk about logistics."
