No surprises there, the UAW has always been a fierce advocate for their people against the behavior of those companies. Not to mention that several of them have a particularly bad history of union-busting or otherwise being bad to the unions and their members in the past. (The UAW gets held up as both the example of a good union job and as the reason why unions are such a problem, depending on what side of the fence you sit on in Michigan.)
