That's a perfectly good thing for a pontiff to do who wants to give no aid or comfort to the American Heresy that he's probably going to try and deal with in his reign as Pope.
It's good to see that someone who is a known figure in the world has their priorities straight about who is important and who is to be dismissed as creating more problems than they could be expected to try and help solve.
