I am so pissed off. The college I work at rescheduled one of the classes that I was going to take, an innocent thing in and of itself. In doing so it shot my entire schedule to hell.

I must take a course at GateWay College as it is a degree requirement. It is a Tuesday/Thursday class. The course that I was going to take at Glendale was Monday/Wednesday, they rescheduled it to Tuesday. In the same time slot as the GateWay class.

There are no other classes at Glendale that I need and/or am interested in taking. Zero

So here’s the good part. If I don’t take 3 hours at Glendale, I lose my job there. It's less than $90 a week, but it is the only cash that I have coming in.

And here’s the best part. If I don’t take 9 hours in the district, I don’t get my student loan.

So no loan and no job.

The capper for this day would be for me to have a car accident. I haven’t had one in over 10 years, so I’m due.

Sigh.

I’m on my way to GateWay to confirm that the degree I’m trying for actually exists (it isn’t in the catalog or online, but I’m “told” that it will be), then I’ll get to see my financial aid go up in flames.

I think I’ll see Elektra today. I was going to see House of Flying Daggers, but I think I want a little ultraviolence.

Is the GCC class only at one time? Hopefully you can come back, Wayne. I know a lot of us will miss you there at the HTC. :(

Yikes, you're getting hit by all of it at once! Can't you take Underwater Basketweaving or something just so you have the necessary classes in the right places? One of my co-workers, also dependent on financial aid, is having to take 3 classes/9 hours also (along with a private tutor Spanish class and 20 hrs/week work at the library). She's already stressing and classes haven't even begun. Does this mean you'll have to take an extra semester since you can't get both classes (now being offered at the exact same time) taken care of this semester? My sympathies, Wayne.
