Zero problems with tremors. School was good, got 100% on my quiz on fiber optics. The teacher demonstrated epoxy bonding fiber optic connectors, something that isn’t difficult but will take practice, expensive practice at that as the connectors are $15 a pop, and since you’re using epoxy, they ain’t reusable.

We then broke for lunch, reviewed for the final, and went to take it. Only to find that either the school’s internet connection was dead or possibly the entire network was shutdown.

I neglected to mention that the final, and all the quizzes, are online.

Well, we made arrangements, I took it around 4pm, and did well enough on it to get an A in the class, so that’s good. Averages out the C that I got in my wireless class.

Last night I went to a Rattler’s game (arena football) with Bear & Felicia. Good game, Rattler’s beat San Jose 54-44. San Jose played really well, but Rattler’s played just a little bit better. SJ should have stopped with the on-side kicks after the first one scored a TD against them.

I’m not a sports nut, but I enjoy watching AZ Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, and Rattlers live. I don’t follow them with much attention, but I enjoy them nonetheless.

Unfortunately this may be the Rattler’s last season, Bear and others think the team might be sold during the off-season (this was the last home game) and they may or may not move.

Unfortunate.

Whilst standing at a merchandise kiosk (all Rattler’s merch 50% off and I didn’t buy a blessed or cursed thing) we were discovered by a Local Author friend/acquaintance. Many jokes have been made about him, some justified, I just find it annoying to be a third person present, an acquaintance of some 20 years, and to be totally ignored in conversation. But I don’t read anything that he writes anymore. What I really ought to do is buy a bunch of his books used, get him to sign them all, then tell him that I got him used. That’d probably produce quite an interesting reaction.

The best thing about yesterday was that I went the entire day without shakes. A mild tremor this AM, but I’ve also been without food for some 13 hours, so I have no problem blaming it on the combination.

Got a phone call from Russet Friday night, she was feeling a bit sickly but has a remarkably robust immune system and will probably feel better with a day or two of sleep. She heard from her mom, and apparently her mother is having problems with congestive heart issues and her dad is a bit worse, it’s possible that the cancer is now going after his brain.

Well, I’ll meet him in Ohio in 2 weeks and I’ll be on my honeymoon with Russet in 3. It’s going to be rough on Russ, apparently she’s never been to a funeral before. I’ve been to far too many, but in all fairness, I’ve also been to a ton of weddings, but you really can’t compare them for balancing joy and sadness.

A lot of joy that you get out of life is what you put in to it, and as many people say and as I hope to have in my wedding vows, joy shared is increased and sorrow shared is diminished.

All I know is that it’s going to be rough when her father dies, and it won’t be long in the coming.
