Last week I had one of my domains expire. EXPIRE. Zero warning, whatsoever. This screwed up a chat room that I use regularly with some friends. It was not a domain that I had planned on renewing as the reason for me having it was sort of over.

So I copied the chat room to another domain that I have on that hosting provider. Tuesday night chat comes along and everything is reported to go fine, though I wasn't able to be there.

Then the hosting expired. Again, zero warning.

So I renewed the hosting.

TONIGHT, my most used domain name, sparebrainsgames.com, EXPIRED. ZERO WARNING.

I did some digging around my hosting service and found some additional information that showed me that warnings were turned on, so I have no idea what happened. I sent in a tech request to try and find out what is going on.

I want all of my domains to be sitting on GoDaddy.com, I like the way they work, though I'm not too comfortable with their switching from Linux to Windows for everything. So I transferred my domain to GoDaddy, or at least started the transfer process. And my domain will probably be down until the transfer is completed, which majorly sucked. Now I'm going to have to copy the chat room to yet another domain so that it'll be available Tuesday night.
