(Yet Another Web Comic)

I haven't seen enough of the archives (well, I haven't looked at any of the archives yet) to make this determination, but it looks inspired by Alien Loves Predator. This particular one is very good!

Over my life, this is a pretty close map of where I've been. It's a lot more full because of a huge driving trip we made in the early/mid 70's of which I really don't remember a lot.

That's 39 states for 76%.

A more accurate map of where I've been as an adult would be more like this:

And that's 25 states IIRC.

My wife has a somewhat more stringent definition. Passing through a state doesn't count, you must have stopped and at least ate a meal, I think spending many hours driving through a state is good enough. :-)

World map? Forget it. I haven't been outside of North America, and my forrays into Mexico and Canada have been no more than 50-100 miles past the border. I know Russet's been to England, Spain, France, and I think Colombia. Probably a few other places, too.

Signs that your youngster might be a conservative
Posted by Skinner on Tue Mar-21-06 10:25 AM

This week the Toronto Star reported that there appears to be a correlation between an individual's personality as a child and their their political orientation as an adult. It would seem that the whiny youngsters tend to grow up to be conservatives, while confident youngsters grow up to be liberals.

Like many people, we here at Democratic Underground had one reaction: "How can I tell if my own kid is a conservative?"

As we all know, early identification and intervention is the key to setting your child down the "right" political path, and could make the difference between a fulfilling life of tolerance and contentment, or a future filled with things like insider trading and/or physically assaulting those who are different. With this in mind, we are proud to offer this important list of:
