Got home at 6am this morning
Sep. 5th, 2006 01:33 pmWent to Phoenix over the holiday weekend, got in some good playtests of Waste of Celluloid and Sucks To Be Me. Got some excellent suggestions on both, and both were (fairly) enthusiastically received.
Lots of stories to relate, but I need to get to breakfast and do a photo shoot, plus walk the poodle and get to school, so I'll relate a short one.
I didn't leave Alamogordo Friday until almost noon, had lots of stuff to take care of, and naturally I got less than six hours sleep before beginning a 500 mile drive. One of the tasks was to get my oil changed. The spousal unit is in Maine right now with her mom, visiting her sister who just had her 50th birthday, so the poodle joined me on my travels. So I'm at the oil change place waiting, Celeste is wandering around sniffing and getting petted by a woman who is the only other fellow waiter. A guy comes in, sits down, Celeste immediately approaches him and demands obeisance, which is properly rendered. The guy then comments "There's a poodle that looks just like this one up in Cloudcroft!"
Well, DUH!
It's funny how many people recognized Celeste when I got here but didn't know me. So I was introduced as Celeste's owner's husband.
