I was coming home tonight and a raccoon was going up the final part of my drive. Because of the 18" (approx) of snow that we got last Tuesday & Wednesday, there was a 2' channel running down the street that the raccoon couldn't jump up and scurry away. Fortunately he continued up the road until the snow was gone then scurried off into the woods.

Yesterday I was digging out some snow to expand the entrance to our driveway. Unfortunately it's been kinda warm during the days here recently and still freezing at night, so you've got soft snow on top and dense ice beneath. It was kind of amusing watching me sink through the crust and watch Celeste running along the surface. It kind of reminded me of the dwarf/elf snow scene from the first Lord of the Rings movie. ;-)

I figure each of Celeste's paws would be representing about 12 pounds on the snow (50 lbs divided by 4); for me, each of my feet would be representing about a hundred pounds.

This sucks, no explanation given. I went to their start page to find a link to get their name server addresses for a new domain that I'm setting up, and there is a great big sign: "SCOTTSDALE HOSTING IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. For those looking for high quality, affordable and reliable web hosting, we recommend DreamHost."

I just began transferring my domain registrations away from GoDaddy because of of this crap that they pulled in taking down someone's site 45 seconds after sending him notification that they received a take down notice. (to read more about this visit this site) And now I find that my hosting service may be floundering? BTW, I'm now using Nearly Free Speech.net for my domain registration. They have some very interesting policies, they also offer the registration privacy service that GoDaddy offers.

I'm not very happy. I sent Scottsdale Hosting a trouble ticket to find out WTF is going on, and if I don't get a satisfactory answer, I guess I'll be looking for a new hosting service. I don't want to, because they have a great deal and were providing very good service.

GARRR!

http://gpspotty.sparebrainsgames.com/ For some reason the gpspotty.com domain is not forwarding properly, but this address method works.

I shall say no more.
