He's not flying NASA's Vomit Comet, another company has been operating a similar aircraft (and flight profile) for several years that anyone can buy a ticket on. They're giving Hawking his ride for free.

A variation on a dance club fog machine, the car fills very quickly and can also have strobe lights emplaced to further disorient the potential thief/burglar.

Hard to steal if you can't see. The site did not specify if the system could activate multiple times, it does say that it costs $10 per activation for the fluid.
