Dec. 25th, 2011 12:51 amHolly Hippodays, etc! I hope you all have a wonderful day with great friends and loved ones, though I'm reminded by Einstein's other theory of relativity: you can't choose your relatives, thank ghod you can choose your friends.
And I also hope there's good food to be consumed. My wife's working, so I'm making Xmas dinner at the observatory tomorrow evening. We considered ordering a turducken, but there's only going to be 4-6 people and that would be tremendous overkill, so we ordered a Qua-duc-ant, a quail/duck/pheasant. Should be interesting. Also manchego mashed potatoes, orange-scented green beans, and I'm modifying a recipe that I did for Thanksgiving that'll be asparagus with vanilla bean butter and pomegranate molasses, also have a cranberry chutney. Russet is doing a pumpkin cheesecake (theoretically). Should be fun.
