Dazzle is the code word for the camouflage scheme used by naval vessels in World War I, the black and white patterns used to break up the outline of a ship and make it difficult to identify or to even determine its bearing or speed. The point of CV Dazzle is to trick facial recognition software into not thinking a face is there, thus preventing it from identifying you. One of the key pieces of facial recognition is the space at the bridge of your nose and between your eyes, add a little black and white geometric makeup to your cheeks and you're good. Since in some municipalities it's illegal to wear masks, such makeup should be illegal (for now) and one way to prevent this particular bit of passive tracking.
