George Stephanopoulos:
"Was president Obama born in the United States?"
Trump:
"I don't get into it, George...It's just something I don't talk about." (which is surprising considering how much it takes to get him to shut up)
Trump, 2012:
"An 'extremely credible source' has called my office and told me that Barack Obama's birth certificate is a fraud." (and we never heard the results of the cadre of private investigators that he sent to Hawaii to get the birth certificate)
Trump, 2012:
"His mother was never in the hospital, they don't even know what hospital it was. His grandmother says he was born in Kenya...I'm not fanning flames." (Hopefully he's not in California where the flames are self-fanning)
Trump, 2011:
"I have people that actually have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding." (He can't believe that they're not finding anything?)
Trump, 2011:
"He doesn't have a birth certificate. He may have one but there's something on that, maybe religion. Maybe it says he is a Muslim. I don't know." (*sigh* As I recall, and I can't be bothered to dig it out right now, my birth certificate doesn't indicate my parent's religion. Then again, I wasn't born in Hawaii. But Obama and I were born in the same year.)
Maybe there IS NO birth certificate because OBAMA CAME FROM A DIFFERENT PLANET! He hasn't denied that, has he?
There was an excellent demonstration of class. Eight years ago when John McCain was running for the Presidency, unfortunately with Sarah Palin, someone shouted out that Obama was a Kenyan Muslim. McCain immediately dressed the man down and said that Obama was not a Muslim and that he was born in Hawaii and there was no doubt about his qualification to be President. When the same thing happened with Trump, he evaded and did not correct the speaker.
