Major suck!
I'm in Omaha. Got a call two weeks ago that a friend's wife passed away unexpectedly in her sleep. Her memorial is tomorrow, so I left home Saturday and got in last night (it's a bit over 900 miles). Sadly Russet had to work so I'm solo. Fortunately this week is spring break, so I would normally be off Wednesday through Friday, so I'm not losing too much there. I was best man at their wedding 16 years ago and they photographed mine 11 years ago.
So it's pretty sucky.
Tonight I open my spam folder, I like to give it a quick glance occasionally to make sure nothing important slipped through, and I saw a spam from an old friend. It was obviously one of these where somehow his email address book was copied. I didn't need to open it to know it was spam, it was obvious from the title. Plus, there's the small matter that he's dead. He took his life a year or two ago.
*sigh*
I really didn't need something like that right now. Terry, in addition to losing his wife, found out that his dad had stage 4 cancer in his spine. I'm also going through medical drama with my dad, we should be getting test results soon and an indication as to what is going on.
But getting an email from a dead friend? That's just 100% pure suck.
