Strange thing happened today.

I order some pharmacy stuff from Target. Allegra clone, Zantac clone, couple of other things. And I buy such a quantity that I order it every two months, runs $50-75 depending on what else I also order - the price always gets me free shipping, which is also nice. Placed an order about two weeks ago, order arrived correct and proper. But it's always two items, plus sometimes two more.

Today I go to the post office to mail something and I check the box, and there's a parcel locker key in it. I had nothing ordered, and Russet tells me when she's expecting something. Could be an unexpected Kickstarter maybe?

Open the locker and it's a small box from Target addressed to me.

This is clearly weird as I'd placed the one order and it had arrived. I hadn't ordered anything else, and the size and weight of the package would suggest that it was a duplicate. But I was on my way to the library and I didn't have a knife on me to open the box and see what was in it, so it would have to wait.

The wait is over. I just now cut it open, and it was, indeed, a duplicate of the order from two weeks ago!

So I sign on to the web site and pull up the order and there's nothing short of trying to return the order or try to get a refund to let me send a query about the order, so I try the chat system. No idea if it's a bot or a person. I'm now suspecting that "Frank" is a person, though probably not named Frank. There is one curious turn of phrase, the last line of this passage: "Yes, we're very much glad that you informed us that you received duplicate package. We're grateful for you."

That's not normal English usage, you need some more words there! As it stands, you're expressing gratitude for my existence.

ANYWAY, "Frank" said they didn't want to put me to any hassle returning the package or anything, so they're letting me have the drugs for free!

Tres cool! Saves me from paying for them again in 60 days! Of course, I'll have other things to order then, as some things I order on a slightly different cycle.
