Two things made me feel better yesterday

White nationalist idiots debunking white supremacist claims. You can't have it both ways. America has been a melting pot of the rest of the countries of the world for ages, and skin color has nothing to do with where you're from or anything else. Yes, the number of non-white people will overtake the number of white people in this country: it's inevitable because white people aren't breeding. SO EFFING WHAT. It makes absolutely no difference. Yes, non-white people are getting high-paying jobs, because they're coming here, getting degrees in difficult fields AND THEY'RE QUALIFIED. Something like less than half of the astronomers at my wife's telescope are what you would call "White Americans", the rest are ferriners with degrees in astrophysics - not an easy field. And my wife? She's 100% Scottish, an Anchor Baby! Her parents came from Scotland in the '50s. Her friend Karen on the other telescope? 100% Japanese, another Anchor Baby. Both are Americans, born here. We have Chinese, we have Russians, we had French, etc. Talk about an equal opportunity employer!

Some El Paso shooting victims refuse to see Our Beloved Leader, his trophy wife, and Senator Ted Cruz when they try to create a photo op and election video at the hospital. This made me feel so good! Yeah, I've been shot and am lying in a hospital, and I have to see the person whose rhetoric is responsible for me getting shot in the first place? Bar the door, Katy!

And as an added bonus: most of us know that Trump hates paying bills, he still owes the City of El Paso over half a million dollars in fees for various city services for the campaign rally that he held there months ago. Now he owes them more money. Most of these fees are for police and fire services and overtime. They slapped a 21% one-time late fee on it. El Paso isn't unique in this situation, he hasn't paid for city services in most of the places where he holds rallies. What is unique is that Beto held a rally same day and paid his bill promptly and without fuss. Personally I'd like to see is the city filling liens against Trump's properties to get the bill paid. Cities run very tight budgets, and those police and firefighters have to get paid, and that amount of money probably came out of the city 'rainy day' fund, which means it took a serious hit.
