It had a horrible opening weekend, earning just $6mil on a $100mil cost, so it's promising to be a giant money suck. I'm not surprised, the trailers look horrible. So they're slipstreaming an update: theaters with satellite can download a new version of the movie right now, those without will receive new hard drives soon.
Wow. This has never been done before. Sure, they've done updates for the home release, that's not uncommon. But while it's still in the theaters? That's a lot of effort and I don't think it'll help.

I read a review on Buzzfeed, and they were brutal. But so were so many other reviewers that Rotten Tomatoes has given it a 16% score! It takes a lot to earn that low of a score. The cast is amazing, has buckets of talent, but the look is appalling.
I just don't think I can bring myself to see this, I find the look too disturbing.
