RIP: Paul Reubens, "Pee-wee Herman"

*sigh* 70 years old, lost the fight against an unspecified cancer.

Altogether now: FUCK CANCER!

Reubens was nominated for at least 14 Emmys for Pee-wee's Playhouse, personally winning two. He did a wide variety of stage and movie work, personally I will always appreciate him for The Spleen in Mystery Men and for his role in the movie Buffy The Vampire Slayer with Rutger Hauer:
Reubens (Head Flunky Vampire): "She tore my arm off!"
Hauer (Vampire King): "Do something about that, it looks terrible."

Most infamously, his career skidded to a halt in '91 when he was caught wanking in a porno theater. CBS cancelled reruns of Pee-wee's Playhouse, Pee-wee merchandise was taken off the shelves, and he disappeared for a few years. Several celebs stood by him, saying it was a victimless crime, and he eventually was able to resume a film career.

Yet another RIP: Randy Meisner, founding member of The Eagles and of Poco

Randy was 77 and fell to COPD.

Quite a storied career! A founding member of Poco, he went on to be a member of Linda Rondstadt's backup band which included Glenn Fry and Don Henley, they then went on to create The Eagles. Randy is most known for his song, Take It To The Limit, which he was a little reluctant to perform every night as he had trouble hitting that high note.

Randy was only with the Eagles for six years, he left after the Hotel California tour.

Doctor who sold fake Covid vaccination cards loses his license to practice

A reporter got wind of it and ordered a card for her dog, which the doc happily sent to her. She sent the information on to the local board of medical examiners. He sold them to people whom he had never met, including to people out of state.

We need a lot more stories like this!
