Heehee.. I'm surprised Texas has ANY rest stops. I was in Texas for about a year, and spent a decent amount of time driving around (mostly) the West half, and never saw any.

I know! We drove across TX from NM to OK across 40 (as you can see) and there was NOTHING! This rest area just outside of El Paso is quite nice and is also a visitor's center, so I think they had some add'l fundage.
