It's definitely my favorite holiday. I had a doctor's appointment in El Paso today, and I have a cold hitting me, so I'm feeling a bit cruddy. I did my class tonight, after I got home I finished watching For A Few Dollars More, then Russ and I (and the poodle) went out for Mexican food then off to Albertsons to spend $160.

We didn't have our porch light on when we were at home and had no callers. There are a couple of apartments very nicely done, and I saw a young woman when I was coming home done up as Tim Burton's Willy Wonka! Amazing costume, she was wearing striped tights (horizontal black/white alternating), coat with tails, top hat, funky glasses, and had a 6" lollipop in her hand. Very cute (both the woman and the costume). I wish I'd had my camera with me.

I went to a great party last night dressed as a Jamestown colonist. My friends picked me up too early to know how many trick-or-treaters came by (I just left a big load of candy on the porch with a "help yourself" sign -- jackpot!). I had the front of my house all decorated and lit up.

Other costumes at the party: Flying Tigers air force guy, gypsy, zombie Homer Simpson, Men in Black, Tigger, Bumblebee, Elmo (okay, those three were toddlers, lol), Battle of Serenity Valley soldier from Firefly, K-Mart employee, Gomez and Morticia, "Pumpkin Pi" (guy with orange t-shirt with 3.14 etc. written on it), witch, injured skateboarder, devil girl, and a cowboy. Plus some others probably that I've forgotten.
